Score Skills to Master in 2030

By 2030, your resume will be a receipt.
And your certifications will be useless papers.

AI will write faster.
Diagnose better.
Execute more efficiently than you.

But it still can’t do one thing:
💪 Think like a leader.

The World Economic Forum revealed the top skills for 2030.

If you want to stay relevant, master these 5:

1. Analytical Thinking
Spotting problems makes you smart.
Solving them makes you valuable.
➤ Try this:
Pick one thing you complain about weekly.
Then fix that once and for all.

2. Lifelong Learning
Your degree has a shelf life. Curiosity doesn’t.
➤ Try this:
Block 1 hour this week to learn something irrelevant.

3. Leadership & Influence
You don’t need to manage people to lead.
You just need to change how people think.
➤ Try this:
Explain why it matters and what changed because of you.

4. Systems Thinking
If you're solving the same problem twice,
You have a system problem.
➤ Try this:
Redesign it until it runs without you.

5. Tech Literacy
You don’t need to code.
But you do need to know what’s possible.
➤ Try this:
Automate one boring task this week.
Use ChatGPT. Claude. Just start.

The future won’t reward the most technical.
It’ll reward those who combine insight with execution.

The Core Skills for 2030

The most essential skills for 2030?
They’re not just technical. They’re strategic.

This chart from the World Economic Forum shows what employers expect to matter most by 2030.

In the upper-right quadrant—skills that are both core today and expected to grow in importance—we see:

-> Analytical thinking
-> Resilience, flexibility & agility
-> Leadership & social influence
-> Motivation & self-awareness
-> Creative thinking
-> Systems thinking
-> Curiosity & lifelong learning

These aren’t niche capabilities. They’re the core drivers of strategy in action.

Yes, technological literacy, AI and data skills matter too. But the bulk of what’s rising isn’t just technical—it’s about how people think, adapt, lead, and execute in a changing world.

This is exactly why we built the Big 5 of Strategy © - a structured competency framework that helps individuals, teams, and organizations map their strategy and implementation strengths and cultivate an integrative set of essential power skills. It is:

✅ Grounded in science
✅ Built for practical use in organizations
✅ Focused on the human capabilities that drive strategic success

We’re now opening up to 5 large organizations to work with us as early adopters before launch. You and your people get exclusive access to the online self-assessment and help shape how strategy skills are developed in the next decade.
