The 80/20 rule that will change your life.

You're busier than ever and somehow still behind.
20% of what you do creates 80% of your results.
The rest is just noise that feels like progress.

Vilfredo Pareto found the same pattern in 1896, when he noticed a fifth of Italians owned most of the land. Decades later, a consultant named Joseph Juran turned it into a working principle almost every high performer now runs on: the Pareto Principle.

Here's what it looks like applied to priorities, health, time, decisions, goals, relationships, growth, and daily habits:

1/ Priorities
⤷ Audit your day, week, month, and year. Keep the actions producing your best outcomes. Cut the rest.

2/ Health
⤷ Sleep, food, and movement touch everything else you do. Protect the small set of habits doing most of the work.

3/ Time management
⤷ Block your calendar for deep work first. The rest of your tasks can fight over what's left.

4/ Decision-making
⤷ Most decisions don't deserve a debate. Save your energy for the few that actually change your life.

5/ Goals
⤷ One clear goal beats five vague ones. Review it weekly. Adjust before you drift.

6/ Relationships
⤷ Invest in the people who show up for you. Everyone else gets less of your time, on purpose.

7/ Learning and growth
⤷ Thirty minutes a day on the right skill beats hours on the wrong ten.

8/ Daily habits
⤷ Your habits carry you on the days motivation doesn't show up. Keep the ones that actually move you forward.

Doing more rarely moves anything. Noticing what already works, and cutting the rest, does.

Audit one area this week. Keep what's carrying you. Drop what isn't.
